This Body Butter Base is a simple way to get perfect results and make your own body butter without buying all the ingredients separately. You can use it as is or follow the instructions below to add essential oils and whip for a more luxurious feel. This product is designed to have very little or no smell, with the exception of the Raw Formula. It works well with the essential oil or fragrance oil of your choice. This is made with high-quality ingredients with no hard-to-pronounce ingredients or cheap fillers. A little more about the differences between the formulas. The Moisturizing formula is a great all-around skin protectant and moisturizer. It contains a nice balance to help nourish skin with some of the most popular ingredients used in body butter. The anti-aging formula substitutes deodorized olive oil with Rosehip, Jojoba, & the highly prized pomegranate seed oil, which I considered a medium-priced luxury cosmetic oil. Rosehip Seed oil is incredible and well-known for its high concentration (the highest of any pure botanical oil) of natural vitamin A – all-trans retinoic acid (or ATRA as it is often abbreviated.) ATRA is known for its potent ability to reduce the depth of wrinkles, fade fine lines, lighten age spots, and promote the overall healing of damaged skin. This is accomplished by boosting the growth rate of new cells and increasing collagen production deep under the skin’s surface. Jojoba Oil is probably one of the most hydrating oils in the world and absorbs very well. Jojoba oil contains many beneficial ingredients, including vitamin E, vitamin B complex, silicon, chromium, copper, and zinc. It also can address the average person’s lack of iodine-rich foods. In part, iodine gives jojoba oil the power to heal. Ximenia oil is the latest ingredient to treat skin problems, such as eczema, acne, extreme dryness, dehydration, and skin fragility. Ximenia oil has been used to soften dry, chapped skin, condition unruly hair, and be a popular massage ingredient for its lubricating emollience and rich, thick texture, and as an ingredient for anti-aging formulations. Its anti-inflammatory properties are due to a rare fatty acid known as ximenynic acid, which improves blood flow, thus healing rashes and irritations. Ximenynic acid is also contained in costly Sandalwood Seed oil. Ximenia oil absorbs quickly into the skin to improve moisture levels, increase micro-circulation, and regulate skin oils.Buriti Fruit Oil is one of the highest oils in carotenoids that help stimulate epidermal regeneration, helping soften and smooth skin. Instructions Method #11) In a double boiler or glass bowl, melt the body butter base into a liquid2)Remove from heat and let cool slightly to around 100F or until partially solidified. Add essential oils or fragrances and mix with an electric mixer.3)Move to fridge and let cool another 30min- 1 hour(depending on volume) or until starting to harden but still somewhat soft.4)Use a hand mixer to whip for 10 minutes until fluffy.5) If you have achieved the desired texture, dispense into the intended container with a spatula or piping bag used for icing.6)Return to fridge for 10-15 minutes to set.Method #2Alternatively, I have had customers who were able to get it mixed without melting it since it is relatively soft and add essential oils at that time. Store in a jar with a lid and use as you would regular lotion or body butter. Store in a cool location at or below room temperature. It may soften and lose its "whip" in warmer environments.

Method #1
1) In a double boiler or glass bowl, melt the body butter base into a liquid
2)Remove from heat and let cool slightly to around 100F or until partially solidified. Add essential oils or fragrances and mix with an electric mixer.
3)Move to fridge and let cool another 30min- 1 hour(depending on volume) or until starting to harden but still somewhat soft.
4)Use a hand mixer to whip for 10 minutes until fluffy.
5) If you have achieved the desired texture, dispense into the intended container with a spatula or piping bag uséd for icing.
6)Return to fridge for 10-15 minutes to set.
Method #2
Alternatively, I have had customers who were able to get it mixed without melting it since it is relatively soft and add essential oils at that time. Store in a jar with a lid and use as you would regular lotion or body butter. Store in a cool location at or below room temperature. It may soften and lose its "whip" in warmer environments.
